earl grey cupcakes with a lemon vanilla buttercream

as much as i love baking, i don’t seem to have the same flair when it comes to sponges when i used to bake for fun during my early years.

but one thing about me is that i love to experiment with new flavours.

i’m not the one to love super chocolatey desserts (brownies being the only exception of course), so i tend to crave for more refreshing, palatable flavours.

combining my 2 loves; tea and lemon zest, i’ve created earl grey and lemon cupcakes — the floral notes from the earl grey compliments beautifully with the zesty lemon buttercream.
